My chancery practice encompasses the whole gamut of Chancery Work from property disputes to contentious probate including capacity and the construction of Wills. I am frequently involved in mediations and have an excellent track record of achieving successful settlement outcomes for litigants or potential litigants.

A good part of my practice involves commercial and partnership disputes including litigation in respect commercial contracts and dissolution of partnerships

As part of my property practice I have extensive experience of disputes between landlords and tenants of both commercial and residential premises including Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 lease renewal claims ,Housing Act 1988 claims, disrepair claims and claims involving leasehold enfranchisement or lease extensions.

A substantial part of my practice involves general land law and trusts work including rights of way, boundary disputes, proprietary estoppel, ToLATA cases, constructive and resulting trusts and adverse possession. I successfully represented the appellant in the Court of Appeal in the first reported cases on the effects of the Land Registration Act 2002 on overriding interests and the meaning of “actual occupation” for the purposes of that Act.
