I have been a practising barrister for over three decades, having worked in the law for over 50 years. I am a specialist in matrimonial finance and TOLATA claims (disputes between people who have lived together and where there is a claim relating to property) and I also take on private law children work, particularly relocation cases, both domestic and international. Although I consider myself a fearless advocate, I am committed to non-court dispute resolution and I am a qualified mediator, collaborative lawyer and Family Law Arbitrator (Finance). I have authored several books on the law, most recently writing the chapter on the law for the second edition of Resolution’s Cohabitation Claims. I also write frequently for law journals and I am well known for providing continuing professional development training to other legal professionals.

My client are ordinary people who do not want or simply cannot afford to spend money on instructing both a solicitor and a barrister but who want to either resolve their disputes outside of the court process or require someone who will represent in court to achieve finality.
