A brilliantly intelligent lawyer who is always one step ahead of the other side.
Legal 500 - Crime

What the profession should be about: skillful advocacy and good judgement.
Legal 500 - Fraud

I offer services both to those accused of wrongdoing, and to those who need to investigate or prosecute wrongdoing. I understand that people only seek a lawyer like me when they are in a stressful situation, so my approach is to listen and understand first, and then provide clear advice and practical assistance.

I enjoy presenting with flair, both in writing and - when necessary - in Court, but am also adept at managing what takes place behind the scenes. I work hard to deserve the trust my clients place in me, and maintain very high professional standards.

What sort of work do I do?

On the one hand I am a highly experienced criminal advocate, a true all-rounder, prosecuting and defending in equal amounts. My particular expertise is in financial crime, but I am experienced in cases of violence, drugs supply, sexual offending, and conspiracies of all kinds. I am a Grade 4 prosecutor (the highest of the CPS Panel Advocate grades); and an approved Facilitator for the Vulnerable Witness Training programme.

On the other hand, I am a Board Member and a critical friend to the corporate world, able to take on varied work investigating, reporting and advising when concerns are raised by whistleblowers, non-executives or advisors. My unique work on the Post Office appeals, on behalf of three of the wronged sub-postmasters, has given me a reputation for integrity and courage when challenging corporate culture.

Who do I work for?

Prosecuting authorities, corporates and individuals caught up in wrongdoing.
