I have acted in high profile cases across the full range of media law including defamation, misuse of private information, breach of confidence, data protection, open justice and reporting restrictions, contempt of court, harassment and official secrets.
In public law, my work ranges from media-law related judicial reviews to judicial reviews raising human rights and regulatory issues.
In election law, my work ranges from election petitions to international elections cases in the Privy Council and advising political parties on election law issues such as election spending and issues relating to candidate selection and internal discipline.
In sports law, I have previous experience of representing WADA in legal proceedings and advising sportsmen and agents on media-law related issues. I also act as a judge on sports discipline tribunals for BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sports).

What sort of work do I do?
I act for and advise both claimants and defendants in all my areas of practice. My court work ranges from acting in long-running group litigation that lasts for years, through to trials and every kind of application that can happen in a case. I have particular experience in undertaking urgent injunction applications and dealing with reporting restrictions issues at short notice. I also have a substantial appellate practice and have appeared as a leader or junior in the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
