Jacob has wide experience of commercial litigation including consumer rights regarding sale of goods and supply of services; claims relating to defective or dangerous products and services as well as general and business contractual disputes.

Jacob has significant experience in unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, direct and indirect discrimination, and wage disputes. He has represented individuals who have been dismissed from their employment, or discriminated against, and who now seek redress in the Employment Tribunal
Jacob conducts various substantive preliminary hearings, including in relation to time limits and other jurisdictional issues, as well as strike out and disclosure applications.
Family
Jacob has a strong family practice in representing clients in Children Act matters and frequently acts in private children cases involving safeguarding issues, including allegations of physical, emotional, financial and sexual abuse. Jacob regularly represent client’s in Finding of Fact and Final hearings involving complex legal and factual issues.
Jacob represents clients in Family Law Act applications such as non molestations orders and occupation order, including directions hearings and contested final hearings, on behalf of both applicants and respondents. Jacob specialises in all areas of divorce and financial remedy applications and represents both applicants and respondents in FDA (Fist Hearings) hearings, Financial Dispute Resolution hearings and Final Hearings.
Fraud
Jacob has helped directors avoid being disqualified from running a company and has assisted victims of fraud recover their money in the civil courts. Jacob had also represented parties in civil fraud claims where allegations of fraud/deceit / intentional misrepresentation were highly contested.

Jacob has significant experience representing individuals in opposing bankruptcy petitions, obtaining extensions of time or having the petition dismissed altogether.

What sort of work do I do?
Jacob is an advocate who will attend court/tribunal on your behalf to present your case, introduce your evidence and present it in the best light, make submissions on the law and explain why you should win to the judge. After the hearing Jacob will draft any orders needed and explain to you the result reached by the court or tribunal.
In addition, he is often asked to prepare complex legal documents and advise on difficult and sensitive issues which he fully engages in to provide a first class service.
In respect of employment matters, Jacob assists by drafting key documents on your behalf, including Grounds of Claim and Response, Schedules of Loss and Lists of Issues; advising on the merits of a case, points of law and settlement negotiations, and specifically, strategy and tactics at all stages of your case. And of course Jacob attends the Tribunal on your behalf to argue the merits of your case.
Jacob has the right to conduct litigation and can accept instructions to appear in court, at arbitrations or in mediations.
