Jake Rudman

Jake regularly acts direct access for both claimants and defendants on the full spectrum of media and information law. He has a wealth of experience in dealing with prospective claims from initial conference to conclusion.

Jake has a wealth of industry knowledge: he completed pupillage with top media law Chambers 5RB; worked in three of the most pre-eminent media law firms (Harbottle & Lewis, Carter-Ruck and Simons Muirhead and Burton) and has advised many of the major British media outlets, including The BBC, The Times, The Sun and The Mirror.

He is also an NCTJ accredited journalist and an accredited mediator.

Jake won Junior Pro Bono Barrister of the Year in 2024 for his work defending a defamation and harassment claim, which was successfully struck out with indemnity costs awarded in his client's favour.

Where a resolution is sought outside of litigation, Jake has experience in negotiation and mediation.

As a mediator, Jake recently helped mediate a complex libel dispute between two politicians.
