I am a specialist property barrister with 25 years’ experience.

I also have expertise in contractual disputes, insolvency and medical appeals against DVLA licensing decisions


My main work is in property law. My particular expertise and interest is in boundary disputes, adverse possession, land registration issues, re-possession, and construction / dilapidation disputes.

I also have substantial experience in insolvency and professional negligence matters.

I have also many years of experience working for and against the DVLA in driving licensing matters involving a medical condition.

What sort of work do I do?


I regularly act for clients and advise in the county court, High Court and Property Tribunal on varied types of property disputes such as: boundary disputes and adverse possession, rights of way, land registration issues and claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointments of Trustees Act 1996.

I also have a substantial landlord and tenant practice covering both residential and commercial matters, including business tenancy renewals, service charge disputes, possession actions for landlords and tenants in both the private and public sectors, anti-social behaviour, disrepair, unlawful eviction and tenancy fraud.

In addition, I advise and act in insolvency matters, including personal and corporate insolvency, applications to set aside statutory demands, and applications to annul, rescind or review bankruptcy and winding-up orders.

My practice also includes intellectual property disputes, including copyright, trade marks, passing off and breach of confidence.

I also represent drivers in the Magistrates Court on DVLA medical matters.
