I am a family law barrister who specialises in private children cases and financial remedy cases.
What sort of work do I do?
I specialise in all aspects of private children work and regularly represent parents at all stages of those cases, including at the FHDRA, DRA, fact-finding hearing (where there are allegations of domestic abuse and sexual abuse), and final hearing (including where it is necessary to challenge the recommendations of Cafcass).
I also specialise in all aspects of financial remedy work and cases concerning the financial provision for children (referred to as 'Schedule 1'), and regularly represent parties at all stages of those cases, including at FDA, FDR and final hearing (including where there are complex issues for the court to resolve).
I am also regularly instructed to advise on the prospects of success of an application (for permission to) appeal a decision made by a Judge or Magistrates.
Who do I work for?
I help people who are unable to agree matters regarding the upbringing of their children with the other parent, for example, with whom the children should live and how often they should spend time with the other parent.
I also help people who are unable to agree matters regarding the division of their assets on divorce with their ex-spouse, for example, how the parties' property, pensions and other assets should be divided fairly.
