What sort of work do I do?

Robert has extensive experience in contract cases, trust matters and shareholder disputes, actions for and against company directors and receivers. Many of his cases involve an element of fraud and there is often an insolvency aspect to his cases. He often appears in cases against, and sometimes for, banks and he is expert in financial services products and legislation. He has acted in a number of cases for trust companies in matrimonial proceedings, assisting or complementing the matrimonial lawyers involved in the financial remedy proceedings. Robert is a member of TECBAR - the specialist construction bar association and has acted for an against builders and associated professionals in complex construction claims. As a KC for 10 years Robert deals with the most high-value and legally complex cases, typically with a value in excess of £5m. As a helpful guide, Robert does not generally undertake cases in County Courts where typically a junior barrister would be more suited to the dispute.

Robert works for PLCs, LLPs, directors, shareholders and individuals. He is often engaged by limited companies to pursue contractual claims against other companies both in the UK and abroad - principally in the Middle East or the Caribbean.
