I am a barrister who specialises in commercial and business disputes between companies, directors, and partners.

I am a barrister called to the Bar in 2010 with substantial experience acting in complex commercial disputes including those with an international element. I am an experienced litigator and regularly act as sole and junior counsel throughout the life cycle of a claim – managing risk, reputation and advising clients on commercial outcomes. I have an in-depth understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and how to deploy them most effectively based on a clients’ objectives.

In addition to litigation, I often represent clients at mediations and negotiations as well as provide non-contentious and pre-litigation strategy and advisory advice which focuses heavily on risk mitigation within commercial supply contracts, regulatory and compliance, employment matters, policy documents, and legal/strategy advice in the insurance, finance, FMCG and hospitality sectors.

Business and Corporate

I regularly act on behalf of clients in disputes between shareholders/directors as well as provide non-contentious advice and representation.

Chancery

I am often instructed by clients on a wide range of Chancery matters including in urgent interim relief such as injunctions.

Commercial

I undertake a full range of commercial disputes between companies, directors and sole traders including debt recovery, contractual disputes, cross border service and jurisdiction disputes. The range of cases I have acted for clients on span the County Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal in values ranging from £30k to £40m.

Costs

I primarily undertake costs disputes as part of ongoing litigation, but can also undertake specific costs disputes including the challenging of party or solicitor costs.

Insurance and Reinsurance

I am regularly instructed by companies against their insurers for failure to pay under insurance policies. This has included successful actions on behalf of retail and hospitality clients from across the U.K.
