I represent parties in disputes relating to IT. I have particular expertise in relation to IT contracts, ownership of rights in software and in the intellectual property aspects of coding. I am a keen amateur coder myself and I worked in IT for 8 years after graduating while studying to become a barrister.
Insolvency and Restructuring
I represent businesses and individuals who are owed money or are in financial difficulty. I also represent insolvency practitioners, who manage the insolvency process once an individual or company has been made insolvent, and directors who are being pursued for money following their company's insolvency.
I am one of the authors of the LexisNexis book "Personal Insolvency: Law and Practice". I also write practice notes for LexisNexis on company and partnership insolvency and the impact of Brexit on insolvency law.
Intellectual Property
I represent parties in disputes relating to the ownership and use of intellectual property. Intellectual property (or "IP") is property that has been created by the human mind. IP includes copyright, designs, patents, trade marks, goodwill and confidential information.
I have particular interests in music and software disputes.
Media and Entertainment
I represent parties in disputes relating to music and film. I have particular expertise in relation to contracts, ownership of rights and intellectual property.
Who do I work for?
I help small and medium sized businesses with disputes about intellectual property and insolvency. I also help creditors, debtors, insolvency practitioners and directors with disputes about insolvency.
