Direct Access Barrister

Ngaa Zivuku

I have experience representing parties in disputes about child arrangements (Private Children), disputes between Civil Partners, Husbands and Wives about how the assets should be divided following separation (Ancillary Relief) and disputes between family members who seek Injunctive Relief eg Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.

Children (Private Law)
I represent parties at all stages of child arrangement order proceedings, from First Hearing Dispute Resolution hearings, Fact Finding Hearings, Final Hearings and everything in-between. My expertise includes shared care/live with orders, and substantial experience in complex relocation cases, both within the UK and internationally. I regularly advise and attend Court to represent parties involved in applications for Prohibited Steps Orders, covering immediate return of children, prevention of removal from a parent’s care/jurisdiction, and Specific Issue Orders over disputes about children’s name(s), school, religion, or medical treatment. I also assist extended family members, such as grandparents, aunts, and uncles, seeking contact with children. Enforcement of orders is a key aspect of my practice.

As a mother of 2 young children, I understand and sympathise with how sensitive such issues are.

Family Law Act Proceedings
I act for both applicants and respondents in applications for Non Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders, providing comprehensive advice and representation throughout the process.

Family Finance and Property
I represent parties who are married/in civil partnerships who are in Court because of financial disputes about their assets and assist by giving advice and Court attendance.
