In the commercial field, for example, acted for an Italian company defending a dispute over furniture supplied. Involved in a dispute over the supply of aviation fuel at an airport. Dealing with the defence over the enforcement of guarantees and challenging consumer and sales transactions.
In the professional negligence field, involved in solicitors’ negligence in relation to client advice and limitation cases, surveyor’s negligence in relation to the survey of property, architects and builders in relation to the design and construction of properties, accountants in relation to company valuations and doctors in relation to issues informed consent and medical practice.
In personal injury, routinely acts for trade union clients and insurance company clients in all manner of injuries.
In the field of employment law, acted in many large-scale redundancies, cases of unfair dismissal of individuals and discrimination. Recent cases including sexual assault of an employee and the vicarious liability of the employer and victimisation. Also, disability discrimination in relation to among others a call centre employee. Also advises on contracts and procedures in relation to employment rights.
Appears in high court, county court and employment tribunals. Also, in Fatal accident inquiries for instance the Glasgow Bin Lorry FAI.
