I am a specialist housing law barrister with 15+ years of experience in housing advice and litigation related matters, including disrepair, possession proceedings, debt recovery, succession claims, and anti-social behaviour. I also have experience in the area of service charge disputes and forfeiture.

I will be able to represent you as a direct access client on matters which require advice, advocacy or legal representation in court or tribunal, drafting letters and legal documents, negotiation and mediation, and general civil litigation work concerning all areas of housing law. I have worked with local authorities, solicitors and registered social housing providers. I am mindful of your client care and will support you all the way to reach a resolution that is in your best interest.

I regularly assist tenants, occupiers, vulnerable individuals, private landlords and housing associations in resolving complex and non-complex housing disputes. I am experienced in advising on statutory housing duties, landlord and tenant rights and obligations and housing litigation.

What sort of work do I do?

I specialise in housing law and advise and represent both tenants and landlords across a wide range of housing disputes. My practice covers possession proceedings, eviction matters, disrepair claims, unlawful eviction and harassment claims, tenancy disputes, anti-social behaviour injunctions, and issues arising under the Equality Act 2010. I appear in the County Court and First-tier Tribunal.

Through Direct Access, I can provide clear and practical advice at every stage of a case, from initial assessment and drafting correspondence to representation at court.
