I have a general civil practice, including some family money work. My fees are competitive for a barrister of my call. Only in exceptional cases will they exceed £325 plus VAT per hour. Often they are less. I try to interact with clients as informally, directly and quickly as possible

I have represented and advised clients on a wide range of matters from a few thousand pounds to several million in the county court, High Court including the commercial court, and the Court of Appeal,

Family

I frequently appear in the family courts, largely in financial remedy cases, occasionally private law children matters.

Intellectual Property

I have appeared many times in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, as well as advising and drafting documents in this area. My work has primarily been in relation to the music industry but I acted in copyright, trademark and passing off disputes in many areas

Professional Negligence

I have acted successfully in many cases against negligent solicitors and a few against barristers. I am prepared to take on any genuine claim against a lawyer regardless of their reputation.

What sort of work do I do?

Commercial, intellectual property, professional negligence, landland and tenant, property and family money cases, including inheritance act and contentious trust work.

Who do I work for?

Largely people of relatively limited means paying out of their own pocket who would rather have a relatively cost effective service and avoid layers of bureaucracy.
