What sort of work do I do?
Tazafar Asghar provides advice and representation in a variety of civil matters. He deals with all aspects of local government law and policy advice, judicial review, HMO's including additional and selective licensing, licensing premises, table and chair licences, Taxi licences, food premises
His field of expertise also covers construction and procurement contracts and has successfully defended procurement challenges against public bodies.
He has acted for both public and private landlords in bringing and defending possession proceedings. He acts for both commercial and residential landlords in all aspects of property disputes including tenancy renewals under the 1954 Act, right to buy, disrepair, forfeiture, rent arrears and service charges.
He also acts for clients on terms of facility agreements, peer to peer landing platforms, contractual relationships between borrowers and lenders, novation, assignment, enforcement of guarantees and consumer transactions and has a working knowledge of the FCA Handbook of rules and guidance.
